Studio Ostendo operates in multiple creative fields including photography, design, and education.
Each year, the University of Illinois at Chicago attempts to document the work in the Master's of Design program. This project was created collaboratively with the students of the time in order to document their program.
From the book: "One: presents [some of the] work created at the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Master of Design program during the 2016-2017 academic year. One: is an attempt at honesty, authenticity, and unity. One: replicates work at a one-to-one scale which highlights the impact of experiencing all work at actual dimensions, and indexes the featured images next to the full work in order to be true to the students’ work and its [their] context. One: folds out to a single, large-scale poster that emphasizes the cross-disciplinary and collaborative nature of the program."
With minimal text, the book set the brief in each native language of the students in the program, including English, French, Greek, Hindi, Korean, Mandarin, and more.
The book features images of work and environment that contribute to the studio.
